Assigned 10 September 1965 to the 196th Light Infantry Brigade

Activated 15 September 1965 at Fort Devens, Massachusetts

Inactivated 8 December 1967 in Vietnam

Activated 31 May 1972 in Vietnam

Inactivated 29 June 1972 in Vietnam and relieved from assignment to the 196th Light Infantry Brigade

Activated 2 August 1988 at Fort Bragg, North Carolina
